 Club Activities
The Montgomery Amateur Radio Club meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. If you are in the area, please attend a meeting as our special guest. Directions to Red Cross Directions: From Eastern Boulevard, proceed west on Carmichael Road for 200 yards to Towne Place (Comfort Inn the right on the corner). Turn right (north) and proceed for a short block to Woods Crossing Road. Turn left (west) on Woods Crossing and the Red Cross building will be about a fifty yards on the right. Park in front, enter through the front door, and follow the signs to the testing room. If you are coming east on Carmichael Road, approaching Eastern Boulevard turn left (north) onto Towne Place (Comfort Inn on the left on the corner) and proceed as above. The Montgomery Amateur Radio Club is an active organization that has earned the Special Services Club designation from the ARRL. MARC membership dues support club projects including repeater and autopatch upkeep, MARC's packet BBS plus subscriptions to the ZeroBeat . MARC works closely with the Alabama Repeater Council, ALANet, the ARRL and CAVEC. Approximately 175 licensed amateur operators and friends are MARC members in good standing.
